Mark Richard is responsible for the Western Hemisphere and serves as member of the Company’s Executive Committee. Previously, Richard was Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing
Richard began his career in 1984 as a Wireline Logging Engineer with Gearhart Industries. He came to Halliburton in 1988 with the acquisition of Gearhart and held a variety of operational roles. He then held various positions of increasing responsibility including executive leadership in the Gulf of Mexico, Eurasia/Europe/Sub-Saharan Africa Region, and Asia Pacific.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU). He serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the LSU College of Engineering and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the American Association of Drilling Engineers, and the American Petroleum Institute, where he serves on the Upstream Committee.
